Take community survey: give input on next superintendentTake community survey: give input on next superintendent

The survey is now closed. Thank you to all who participated.

The East Aurora School District 131 Board of Education invites students, parents, staff, and community members to share their ideas on characteristics the community is seeking in its next superintendent.

The Board has contracted with Hazard, Young, Attea and Associates to engage the East Aurora community and gather input. Information collected through a survey and focus groups will help the Board build a profile for a superintendent that will best meet District needs.

“We are committed to receiving input from the community as we begin this important project,” said Board of Education secretary Kim Hatchett. “The data we review will help us make a more informed decision.”

In addition to holding information-gathering meetings for specific community groups, there will be two public meetings. They will be held:

Wednesday, January 17, 2018, 7 p.m.
East Aurora High School
500 Tomcat Lane, Aurora

Thursday, January 18, 2018, 9:30 a.m.
McKnight School Service Center
417 Fifth Street, Aurora

Community members, as well as District parents, students and staff, are also invited to complete an online survey.  Paper copies of the survey are available at the McKnight School Service Center, 417 Fifth Street, Aurora, IL 60505. The survey will be available for completion until January 19.

Hazard, Young, Attea and Associates will collect all in-person and online feedback and present the superintendent candidate profile to the Board at its meeting on February 5, 2018, at 6 p.m.
