With the support of the Aurora East Education Foundation, (AEEF) the Extension Campus, (EAEC) will be able to invite a series of local artists to meet with the students and share the stories behind their artwork and their creative process. The goal of the Visiting Artist Program is to help students envision themselves as successful working professionals with the objective of motivating them to work toward their goals. The grant will also allow EAEC to purchase newer 3D design tools to help students expand their creative ideas into multiple dimensions!
Julie Gervais, the new art teacher at the East Aurora Extension Campus said, “It is my goal to give students in this environment the benefit of meeting and learning from real working artists and from using newer art-making tools to design and build in creative ways. I’m thrilled that the AEEF is supporting our students in this effort!”
